Storm Damage Repair in Okarche That Holds Up for Years
After hail or high wind, you want to know what actually changed on your roof and what it will take to put it right. We look closely, show you photos, and recommend the repair that makes sense for the years ahead, not just this week.

What storm damage repair covers
Storm damage repair is the work of finding what hail and wind did to your roof and fixing it properly. That can mean replacing a handful of creased shingles, resealing lifted tabs, rebuilding torn flashing, or repairing dented vents and gutters. Some damage is obvious from the yard. A lot of it is not.
Hail bruises shingles by knocking loose the granules that shield the asphalt from sun. The roof may not leak for months, then it ages quickly in the spots that were hit. Wind can break the seal strip under a shingle without tearing it off, so the next gust lifts it further. Our job is to catch both kinds of damage while they are still small.
With 30+ years of roofing experience, we have seen how a storm repair done halfway costs more later. We would rather spend an extra hour on your roof now than have you call us back after the next spring storm.
What the work includes
- A close look, shingle by shingle
- We walk the roof and check every slope, not just the side that faced the storm. Soft metal like vents and drip edge often shows hail size and direction, which helps us find the rest.
- Photos you can keep
- You get clear pictures of what we found, marked so you can see each problem. Those photos are useful whether you file an insurance claim or pay for the repair yourself.
- Shingle and seal repairs
- Damaged or lifted shingles are replaced and sealed so they lie flat and lock in again. We match color and profile as closely as the available product allows and tell you plainly if a match is not possible.
- Flashing, vents and pipe boots
- Wind loves the edges. We repair bent flashing, cracked pipe boots and loose vent caps, since these are the spots where water usually gets in first.
- Gutter damage
- Hail dents and wind pulls gutters away from the fascia. We check them as part of the visit and can repair them with the roof, or handle it through our gutters service.
- Work under a state license
- Repairs are done under our Oklahoma CIB roofing license, and we pull any permit the job requires.
Signs your roof took more than it shows
Granules piling up at downspouts
A heap of dark grit at the bottom of a downspout after a hailstorm means shingles lost their protective layer. That shortens their life even if nothing leaks yet.
Dents in vents, gutters or the AC unit
If hail marked the metal around your home, it hit the roof just as hard. Check the soft metal first; it tells the story quickly.
Shingles lifted, creased or missing
A shingle that flaps or shows a straight crease near the top has lost its seal. It will likely tear off in the next strong wind.
New stains on a ceiling
A water spot that appears after a storm usually points to flashing or a punctured shingle. The leak inside is rarely right under the spot on the roof.
Debris or a fallen limb
Branches can crack decking without breaking a shingle. If something heavy landed on your roof, it is worth a look from someone who knows what to feel for underfoot.
What shapes the price of your repair
Hail and wind hit every roof a little differently, which is why we set a price only after we have been up there and seen it. Before work begins, you get a written estimate broken out line by line. We also walk you through what each option is likely to cost over the next several years, because the lowest number today is not always the better deal.
How widespread the damage is
Ten bruised shingles on one slope is a small job. Scattered hits across every face of the roof can tip the math toward a larger repair or replacement.
What is under the shingles
If water reached the decking and it is soft or rotted, those boards need replacing. We cannot know until the shingles come up, so we show you before adding anything.
Matching older materials
Discontinued shingles are harder to match. Sometimes that means repairing a whole slope so the roof sheds water evenly and looks right.
Roof pitch and access
Steep roofs and tight access take more time and safety gear, which adds labor.
How a storm repair goes with us
- 1
We talk on the phone first
You tell us when the storm hit and what you have noticed. We set a time to come out and look.
- 2
Inspection and photos
We check the roof, attic if needed, gutters and flashing, and take photos as we go. Then we sit down with you and walk through what we saw, slope by slope.
- 3
An honest repair-or-replace answer
If a repair will give you years of good service, we say so. If the damage is spread so wide that patching would cost you more over time, we explain why and talk through roof replacement as an option, with the cost and expected lifespan of each laid side by side.
- 4
Repair day
Landscaping and walkways get covered before anyone climbs up. Once the repair is finished, we roll a nail magnet along the lawn, flower beds and driveway so stray fasteners don't end up in a tire or a bare foot. You also get photos of the completed work.
- 5
Help with the insurance side
If you file a claim, we explain the process and can meet your adjuster on the roof to point out what we found. The adjuster makes the coverage decision; we make sure the damage is seen.

Common questions after a storm
Do I need to contact my insurer before having the roof checked?
No, and a lot of homeowners prefer to have the roof looked at before they pick up the phone with their insurer. That way you know whether there is real damage to report. We give you photos and a plain description of what we saw. Filing is entirely your decision, and we will not lean on you either way.
The roof doesn't leak. Can I just wait?
You can, but hail damage tends to show up as faster wear rather than an immediate leak. Insurance policies usually have a time limit for reporting storm damage, so check yours. Getting it documented soon after the storm keeps your options open.
Will a repair match the rest of my roof?
We match as closely as the available shingles allow. On older roofs the color may weather in over a season or two. If a good match is not possible, we tell you before the work so you can decide.
Will you show me the damage you find?
Yes. We photograph each problem as we go and walk you through the pictures slope by slope, so you can see what the storm did before anything is decided.
Do you work outside Okarche?
Yes. We handle storm repairs around the area, including Kingfisher, El Reno, Piedmont and Yukon. The Service Areas page lists the rest.
